INDIANAPOLIS -- The Indianapolis Office of Education Innovation has revoked the charter for a northeast-side school after continued underperformance.

The OEI revoked the charter for the Indiana College Preparatory School Thursday, according to a release. It serves children grades K-8.

The school, located at 4050 E. 38th Street, has struggled to meet the the financial, governance and academic standards of the Mayor's Performance Framework. The charter was first granted in 2014, and was supposed ot last for seven years.

The students and parents will be invited to school fairs and the Enroll Indy's One Match program.

The charter schools sponsored by the city have more than 15,500 students. Many of those students qualify for free or reduced lunch, according to the city.

The Indiana College Preparatory School was operated by ICAN Schools, a management organization based in Ohio. But the Indy schoolis no longer named on ICAN School's list online.
