Job fair today for 1,000 Indiana State Fair jobs

INDIANAPOLIS -- If you're looking for a little extra pay, the Indiana State Fair may be the option for you.

The fairgrounds is hiring for 1,000 positions for the fair this August.

Officials say you should being a positive attitude and a resume if you have one to the Agriculture Horticulture Building at the Indiana State Fairgrounds from 3-6 p.m. 

The 1,000 employees will be related to the following positions:

  • Parking
  • Gates
  • Security
  • Operations
  • Tractor Shuttles
  • Education

Many positions are ideal for college students, retirees, or people will full-time jobs who want a little extra money. 

"Every year we are excited to grow our team as we prepare to serve and entertain fairgoers in August," Mark Anderson, the director of human resources for the Indiana State Fairgrounds & Event Center, said. "Without seasonal employees, we simply couldn't offer the best fair in the country."
