INDIANAPOLIS -- The 12th annual Operation Hire a Hoosier Veteran begins Wednesday morning.
The job fair for service members, veterans, and military families is Indiana's largest and oldest job fair, according to a news release from the Indiana State Fairgrounds.
The job fair runs from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Wednesday at the Agriculture/Horticulture building at the fairgrounds at 1202 E. 38th St.
From 9 a.m.-noon, the event is open to service members, veterans, and family members. From noon- 3 p.m., the fair is for the public and the military community.
Officials say to wear business casual clothes, bring paper resumes, and have a 30-second elevator pitch to highlight your strengths.
"People can look forward to having employers who are excited to hire veterans," said retired Army Col. Roger Peterman, the chairman of Operation: Job Ready Veterans.
The job fair typically attracts more than 80 employers, 20 resource partners, and about 250 job seekers.
