INDIANAPOLIS — The Landmark for Peace Memorial at Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Park in Indianapolis appears to have been vandalized.

Writing was seen on the memorial dedicated to Robert Kennedy where he spoke on the night King was assassinated.

The statements were an act of passion and not derogatory or injurious, Lena Hackett, managing partner for the Kennedy King Memorial Initiative said.

It is unknown who wrote the statements on the memorial.
