RUSH COUNTY — More than 3,000 people were without power Saturday afternoon in Rush County due to a squirrel in the substation.
The power outage was reported around 10:45 a.m. and was restored around 2 p.m., according to the company's online outage map.
Crews determined the cause of the outage was a squirrel in the substation, according to Rush County Emergency Management Agency.
Update from Duke: A squirrel in the substation. They are still working toe restore as quickly as possible.
