The midterm elections are right around the corner and transportation companies are doing their part to get you to the polls. Here in Indianapolis, there are several options for free or discounted transportation on Nov. 6.

IndyGo Buses

City-County Councilors approved a resolution Monday evening to offer fare-free bus rides with IndyGo on election day.

IndyGo officials say the reason for the resolution is to make sure a lack of transportation doesn’t discourage residents from exercising their right to vote.

This will be the first year IndyGo offers free bus rides to the polls on Election Day. To find your path to the polls on Election Day, visit https://www.indygo.net/route/

Lime Scooters

The company Lime, which offers electronic scooters here in Indianapolis, is providing riders with one free trip on Election Day. Riders will have to enter the code LIME2VOTE18 on their Lime app and then they can cruise on over to their local precinct. But, riders should note the free ride is only good for 30 minutes so depending on how far you need to travel, your free ride may only cover one way.

Uber

The ride-share company is offering $10 off a single ride to the polls on Election Day.

Lyft

The ride-share company is offering 50% off rides to the polls on Election Day.
