INDIANAPOLIS -- Marsh is "in talks" with several interested potential buyers, a company spokesperson said Wednesday.
Marsh has until Friday, July 7 to find a buyer, or the remaining 44 grocery stores will close. The spokesperson said the plan is to keep those stores open, but to do that, they need help.
The interested parties, which are unnamed, are doing their due diligence, the spokesperson said. Those include: looking over sales numbers, visiting physical locations and reading lease agreements.
On May 11, Marsh filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. If all 44 locations close, 2,788 part-time and full-time employees would be laid off.

About 3,700 people lost their jobs.
