PERU, Ind. -- An officer with the Peru Police Department is undergoing surgery Thursday to remove a cancerous mass.

The Officer Tyler Hagan's surgery could take as long as 5 hours, according to a Facebook post by the Peru Police Department.

To support Hagan and his family, the police department is selling #Tyler96Strong T-shirts, decals and wristbands at the police department at 35 S. Broadway.

"We appreciate all of the love and support you have shown Tyler and his family," the post reads. "Good luck today, Z96! You’ve got this!"
