BLOOMINGTON — Bloomington PRIDE will host a virtual festival and fundraiser on Friday and Saturday.

The virtual event will stream from 8-11 p.m. Friday and 2-11:30 p.m. Saturday, according to a press release. You must register for the event online.

During the event, activists and experts will host workshops and will feature wellness activities, music performances, dance parties, a vendor expo, and other entertainment, according to the release.

The Bloomington PRIDE Board of Directors canceled the in-person festival in June due to COVID-19 concerns, according to the release.

"LGBTQ+ individuals—particularly black, indigenous, and people of color, the elderly, and people with disabilities—are disproportionately affected by COVID-19 due to lack of access to adequate medical care, paid medical leave, and discrimination in health care settings," the release read.
