CRAWFORDSVILLE, Ind. -- Police are investigating the disappearance of an unknown man from the Sugar Creek area near Crawfordsville.
Indiana Department of Natural Resources Officers said around 2:35 p.m., multiple witnesses in the area of the Creekside Lodge Restaurant said a man was yelling for help and floating by the restaurant.
The male subject, who is believed to be in his 30s, then went under the water and was last seen by witnesses just off the bank of the restaurant.
Crews called off the search Sunday night just after it got dark and resumed the search at 8 a.m. Monday.
Conservation officers and Crawfordsville firefighters are using boats to search the creek.
