INDIANAPOLIS — More than 1,600 pounds of ready-to-eat, full cooked sausage products shipped to retail locations in seven states, including Indiana, are being recalled due to an undeclared allergen and misbranding.

Teton Waters Ranch Polish Sausage may contain mozzarella cheese, a known allergen, and not declared on the product label, according to a press release from the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

About 1,645 pounds of 10 oz. vacuum packages with lot code 202831, have a use or freeze by date of Jan. 8, 2021, and establishment number Est. 6024 are being recalled.

The products were shipped to retail locations in California, Colorado, Indiana, Maryland, Maine, New York, and Oregon, according to the release.

A customer complained to Courage Production, LLC. after they found the product contained red bell peppers and mozzarella cheese, according to the release. There are no confirmed reports of adverse reactions.

Anyone who has purchased these products is urged by the USDA's Food Safety and Inspection Service not to consume them and either throw them away or return them to the place of purchase.
