HANCOCK COUNTY — A motorcyclist died Thursday afternoon after witness told authorities he possibly hit a pothole and wrecked on Interstate 70.
Hancock County Sheriff's deputies and emergency personnel were called around 12:30 p.m. to the area of I-70 near Six Mile Creek Bridge on the reports of a serious crash involving a motorcycle, Maj. Robert Campbell said in a press release.
When they arrived, they found Alexander Jonathan Stillion, 28, of Groveport, Ohio, who died after witnesses told them he possibly hit a pothole and the crash did not involve any other vehicles, Campbell said. He was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
The crash remains under investigation by the sheriff's office.
