MUNCIE — The Muncie animal shelter has canceled the 24 hour adoption event this weekend due to the possibility of illness and disease in their dog kennels.
After taking in several animals from a neglect situation, veterinarians and Animal Care and Commission Board members requested the shelter also close the dog kennels for two weeks, according to a Facebook post from the shelter.
The No Barking Zone 24 hour adoption, scheduled to happen on Saturday, will be rescheduled at a later date.
