KOKOMO — One person was killed and five people were injured in a crash Saturday afternoon in Kokomo.
Kokomo Police Department officers and emergency personnel were called around 2 p.m. to State Road 26 and the northbound ramp of U.S. 31 on the report of a crash, KPD Capt. Tonda Cockrell said in a press release.
Accident investigators believe the crash was caused by Larry Farris, 78, of Shaprsville, when he didn't stop at a stop sign and hit a minivan, Cockrell said.
Farris later died of his injuries, Cockrell said.
Five other people were taken to hospitals for treatment for various injuries, Cockrell said.
