INDIANAPOLIS -- One person is dead and three others were hospitalized Friday morning after a crash on Indianapolis' northwest side.
Two vehicles crashed on Eagle Creek Parkway, just north of 38th Street, around 1 a.m. One vehicle had three men in it, who suffered non-life-threatening injuries. The other vehicle had one man in it, who was killed.
The impact was so strong, it ripped the engine block out of one of the vehicles.

Details are scarce on what happened, but police believe alcohol was involved.
Eagle Creek Parkway was closed at the time of the crash, but it has reopened.
