INDIANAPOLIS—A young woman was rushed to an Indianapolis hospital following a shooting Monday night on the city's east side.
A public information officer for the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department said the shooting victim is a woman in her late-20's. She was in critical condition after being shot a number of times.
Officers responded to 4216 East Michigan Street. That's on Michigan, east of North Sherman Drive.
There is no information yet from police on what led to the shooting or whether there has been an arrest.
