KNIGHTSTOWN, Ind. -- People in Knightstown want a cross to remain on top of the town's Christmas tree.

The ACLU of Indiana filed a lawsuit Friday against Knightstown, claiming the cross violates the separation of church and state.

The ACLU sued on behalf of a member of the town.

Dozens of people gathered Sunday at the display to pray that the city can keep the cross on the tree.
