The next night, during a prayer vigil for the 16-year-old at the gas station, a man was shot.

Police say Sunday night's 53-year-old shooting victim, Donald Baker, was found in a vehicle with at least one gunshot wound. He was taken to Eskenazi Health in critical condition. As of Monday morning, he was in serious condition.

Sunday night's incident began, police say, when Baker accidentally hit another person's vehicle with his car. An angry mob confronted Baker and somebody in that group fired shots at him.

No suspect or vehicle description has been given for either shooting.
