CARMEL, Ind. -- A large sinkhole on 96th Street in Carmel was repaired early Saturday morning and the road re-opened to traffic.
The sinkhole at the intersection of 96th and College Avenue opened up Thursday evening.
Heavy rain and flooding earlier this week caused the sinkhole to open up.
Traffic was partially blocked at 96th Street as Hamilton County crews worked to close up the sinkhole. It was open to traffic at 5 a.m. on Saturday.
