Police looking for silver Buick in fatal hit-and-run on Indy's northeast side

INDIANAPOLIS – Police are seeking help in locating the vehicle involved in a fatal hit-and-run on Indianapolis' northeast side from a month ago.

A pedestrian was struck and killed on June 15 in a hit-and-run crash near the intersection of 38th Street and Franklin Road. The 27-year-old pedestrian was crossing the road around 10 p.m. when they were struck. 

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Witnesses say they saw him walking against the light when he was hit. 

Police are searching for a 2008 silver Buick LaCrosse with front-end and windshield damage. The last known license plate on the vehicle was a Dealer Plate #G911346. A stock photo of what that vehicle ilooks like s pictured at the top of this story.

The name of the victim has not been released.
