Police looking for vehicle that crushed woman, then took off

INDIANAPOLIS -- A woman was hospitalized after she was crushed between a parked car and a passing truck.

The incident happened June 7 at around 10:30 p.m., in the 1300 block of S. East St. 

Police believe the woman was standing next to a parked car when a white utility truck, headed north, drove too close and crushed her between the two vehicles. 

The truck took off after hitting the woman, according to a release from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department.

The 26-year-old woman was taken to Eskenazi Health. 

Police are still looking for the truck.
