More than 15 years after the night of the crime, police have arrested somebody in connection with the sexual assault of a 12-year-old in southern Indiana.
Police say Eric Jones, 42, battered and sexually assaulted a 12-year-old boy in the boy's Salem, Ind. house on Oct. 26, 1999.
Members of the Indiana State Police say Jones broke into the house located on Commerce Drive and waited for the boy to come home. When the boy did come home, he was attacked by Jones, who then ran from the house, police say.
Jones is facing a child molestation charge. He was already at the Scott County Jail on unrelated charges.
