CAMBY — A 12-year-old retired Marion County Sheriff K-9 has been missing for more than two days after being frightened by fireworks and escaping from her enclosure.
Laika, a Belgian Mallinois, went missing more than two days ago from Camby, according to a Facebook post from the sheriff's office.
The former narcotics K-9 is not a "bite dog" and is very friendly, according to the post. Laika has leg issues and is micro-chipped.
Anyone who has any information on the whereabouts of Laika is asked to call authorities at 317-327-3811.
