Semi carrying cream cheese crashes into east side railroad bridge

INDIANAPOLIS — A street is closed on the east side of Indianapolis after a tractor-trailer loaded with cream cheese crashed into a railroad bridge.

According to information from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, the driver of the semi was going east in the 3400 block of East New York Street at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday when he misread the height sign, crashed into the bridge and became stuck.

No injures were reported in the crash.

New York Street will be closed for approximately four hours as workers dislodge the truck from the bridge.
