LAFAYETTE, Ind. — A man was arrested early Saturday morning in Lafayette after police say he crashed a car into a pharmacy to take prescription medications.
Lafayette Police Department officers were called around 5:20 a.m. to Walgreen's, 1801 South St., to investigate a reported burglary in progress.
When they arrived, they found a vehicle crashed into a door of the pharmacy, police said in a press release.
Police said a 32-year-old man was then arrested after he attempted to leave the building with a large quantity of prescription medications.
The man was arrested and preliminarily charged with burglary, resisting law enforcement, and possession of a controlled substance.
Police are still investigating this case.
