INDIANAPOLIS -- A standoff on Indianapolis' southeast side Friday morning ended safely.
The situation began when a 14-year-old called 911 around 2 a.m., saying there had been some domestic situation in a house in the 8600 block of Southeastern Avenue.
A 7-year-old boy, his mother, and her boyfriend, Thomas Yates, 38, were inside the house, and the man had told police he wouldn't come out.
Around 5:30 a.m., the situation ended with the SWAT unit entering the house. Everybody was safe outside the house shortly after.

Yates was arrested on multiple charges, including domestic battery.
