FISHERS, Ind. -- Two teenagers were arrested after two boats crashed on Geist Reservoir Wednesday night.
Just before 9 p.m., police were called about a boat crash near Cocktail Cove in Fishers.
Police say John Preston, 19, was driving a 21-foot boat when it crashed into another boat that was parked at the cove.
Preston's boat had 10 other people in it, who were all ejected at the time of the crash. Nobody in that boat was injured.
There were two people in the 18-foot boat that was struck while it was parked. The crash caused heavy damage to it and injured one of the two people who were in it. The woman injured has been released from the hospital.
When police were searching through the water to make sure everybody was accounted for, they saw Preston and Philip Paligraf, 18, running from the scene. Paligraf was taken into custody after a chase, while Preston was arrested at his house later.
Indiana conservation officers cited and release five people in Preston's boat for minor consumption of alcohol.
