INDIANAPOLIS – Warren Central High School graduate and award-winning musician, Zachery Camhi, who was reported missing while visiting New York City has been found safe, according to family.
Camhi, 25, was reported missing on Sept. 18 around 5 a.m. near the East Side New York hotel on Lexington Avenue about a week ago, according to WABC-TV in New York.
The music student, drove to the big apple with a friend to pick up a double bass instrument he won in a contest. New York Magazine reports as the two were returning to the hotel, Camhi said he needed to use the restroom, and never returned, that's when he was reported missing.
Family says Camhi has been locate din NYC and is safe. No other details have been released about his disappearance.
Zachery's brother and sister-in-law flew to New York this week to join the search. There was a report of someone who matched his description seen wearing hospital scrubs, but so far, he is still-at-large.
His family said when he is found, they will have a serious conversation with him to make sure he takes his medication.
A Facebook page has been set up to help find Camhi.
During his time at Warren Central High school, Camhi was ranked the No.1 high school double bassist in the state of Indiana. He also played with the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra.
