INDIANAPOLIS — One woman was killed in a crash Tuesday morning on Indianapolis’ west side.

The crash happened just before 9 a.m. at the intersection of Rockville Road and Merrimack Place, Wayne Township Fire Dept. Division Chief Courtney Rice said.

A vehicle left Rockville Road traveling west and ended up on its side in the yard of a residence.

The female driver was extricated and pronounced deceased. The crash didn’t appear to be witnessed, Rice said. The woman was the only person in the vehicle.

The driver has been identified as Adekemi Bamidele, 52, by the Marion County Coroner's Office.

Nobody else was hurt.
