Woman steals squad car while handcuffed

HAMILTON COUNTY, Ind. -- Police are looking for a 21-year-old woman who allegedly ran from police after crashing a stolen squad car while she was handcuffed. 

According to the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office, police stopped a stolen car near I-69 and SR 38 in Pendleton around 11:00 p.m. Friday. 

The driver and two passengers were removed from the car during the stop. 

A female passenger, identified by others in the car as Tori Hostetler, was handcuffed and put in the back of a Hamilton County Sheriff's Office patrol car. While the deputies were continuing their investigation, Hostetler allegedly took the squad car and drove from the scene. 

The chased started in Pendleton, continued in Madison County and ended near 525 W and 200 N in Henry County. 

After crashing, Hostetler allegedly ran and is currently being tracked by K9. 

Hostetler is described a white woman, with shoulder length blonde hair, wearing a white or light gray long sleeve shirt, jeans, and possibly handcuffs. 

Hostetler is not believed to be armed.
