BARTHOLOMEW COUNTY, Ind. -- A man and a woman were killed in a crash during a memorial ride in Bartholomew County Saturday afternoon.
The crash happened around 1 p.m. Saturday near the intersection of 850 S. and 400 W.
According to Bartholomew County Sheriff Matt Myers, Suzanne Setser was riding a motorcycle with her husband Travis Setser during a memorial ride for her son.
Police believe the motorcycle pulled off 850 S. onto 400 W. into the path of a truck. Despite braking and swerving, the driver of the truck crashed into the motorcycle and pushed it about 75 feet.
Travis was found dead under the truck with trauma to his head and upper chest. Suzanne was airlifted to a nearby hospital, where she died. Suzanne's other son, Christian McBride, was riding along with them but was not hurt.
The driver of the truck was given a voluntary blood draw for alcohol and drugs.
Editor's note: A previous version of this story said Suzanne was still in the hospital. She died from her injuries in the crash.
