INDIANAPOLIS – With a name a lot of Hoosiers will recognize, ABC News projects that Greg Pence will win the election to represent Indiana’s 6th District in the U.S. House of Representatives.
He defeated Democrat Jeannine Lee Lake and Libertarian Tom Ferkinhoff Tuesday.
Pence, a Columbus, Indiana businessman and veteran, had never run for political office before 2018.

The 6th District encompasses a large portion of eastern Indiana, stretching across 19 different counties.
Pence is the older brother of Vice President Mike Pence. He will serve in the seat his brother held for 12 years.
The Vice President Tweeted his congrats to his older brother, saying he looks "forward to working with him to advance President Trump's agenda for America and the Hoosier state."

The seat was open because Rep. Luke Messer left to seek the GOP nomination for U.S. Senate, which he did not win.
Greg Pence is a Marine veteran and owner of two antique malls.
