INDIANAPOLIS — Ind. Sen. Jim Merritt is running for mayor of Indianapolis, challenging incumbent Democrat Joe Hogsett.
Merritt has been a member of the Indiana Senate Indiana State Senate since 1990 and served as Marion County Republican Party Chair until December.
He represents District 31 in the Senate, which includes Marion County and part of Hamilton County.
