INDIANAPOLIS -- The latest polls are close, debates are being held, and campaign ads are all over your TV and the internet. In other words, it's election season.
Tuesday is the last day to register to vote for the Nov. 6 midterm elections. Not close to the last day, not coming up on the last day, the very last day.
More than 4 million Hoosiers are currently registered to vote. To become one of them, you can sign up via text message, online or at your county's voter registration office.
To register to vote, you need the following things:
- Have a valid Indiana driver's license or Indiana State Identification Card.
- Be a citizen of the United States.
- Be at least 18 years old on or before the election.
- Have lived in your precinct for at least 30 days before the election.
- Not currently imprisoned after being convicted of a crime.
