INDIANAPOLIS -- You could start seeing a new scratch-off game aimed to help Hoosier veterans.
Indiana Senate Bill 454, authored by Sen. Michael Delph (R-District 29) was read in the Committee on Veterans Affairs and the Military Tuesday morning.
The bill, if signed into law, would create a new scratch-off game. The proceeds of that game would go to the veterans' treatment fund, a new program that would also be created if the law is enacted.
The treatment program would provide money to health care providers to treat veterans using hyperbaric oxygen, as part of a pilot program.
The law would also require the Indiana Department of Veterans Affairs to notify every veteran in the state who is suffering from a brain injury or PTSD about the program.
The committee discussing the bill is made up of the following Indiana Senators:
- Sen. Michael Delph
- Sen. Michael Crider
- Sen. Blake Doriot
- Sen. Jon Ford
- Sen. James Merritt
- Sen. Rick Niemeyer
- Sen. Jack Sandlin
- Sen. David Niezgodski
- Sen. Eddie Melton
- Sen. Frank Mrvan
