LOGANSPORT — An investigation is underway by Indiana State Police after an inmate at the Cass County Jail was found unresponsive in his cell and died.
Clyde Davis, 72, was found unconscious and not breathing by a correctional officer around 11 a.m. Saturday, ISP Sgt. Tony Slocum said in a press release. Correctional officers then began CPR and other life-saving measures.
Davis was taken to Logansport Memorial Hospital where he died, Slocum said.
There were no signs of trauma and foul play is not suspected, Slocum said. An autopsy has been scheduled.
