INDIANAPOLIS — A new series of videos hopes to educate people about the importance and impact travel and tourism has on Indiana.
The videos, sharing tourism and hospitality worker's stories, will be released each day starting Sunday until May 9.
Visit Indy is helping workers share stories of how the COVID-19 pandemic is effecting them.
"I am proud to kick off the week by sharing a message of support to our tourism and hospitality industry," said Indiana Lt. Governor Suzanne Crouch, who overseees the Indiana Office of Tourism Development, in a press release. "Our team at IOTD is working every day to help understand what the overall impact of COVID-19 will be, and we look forward to the day when we can welcome visitors back to our incredible attractions."
In 2018, 81 million people visited Indiana and brought in $13 billion in visitor spending, setting a state tourism record.
The videos will be posted on Visit Indiana's website and social media.
