IMPD behavioral health unit is making a difference for local families

INDIANAPOLIS — A local mother is sharing her story. She said the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department's behavioral health unit is making a difference in the community. That unit works specifically with those who are suffering from a mental illness.

WRTV's Megan Sanctorum reports on how the program works and explained how these officers build relationships and follow up with those in need long after the first crisis call.
