INDIANAPOLIS -- Colts quarterback Andrew Luck will return to practice this week, according to team general manager Chris Ballard.
Ballard said Luck would return on 1070 AM Monday, according to ESPN.
Since his shoulder surgery in January, Luck has missed all of the Colts' offseason workouts, all of training camp, the preseason and the first four weeks of the regular season.
"Andrew's doing good, he's doing really good,'' Ballard said. "I've watched him throw the ball, and he's starting to get his motion back, getting his lower body to start working with his upper body. His strength levels are getting back to where they need to be.''
Coach Chuck Pagano said there was a chance he could practice a week ago, but the timing didn't work out. Luck practicing means he's another step closer to returning to the field.
The Colts play the San Francisco 49ers at home, then play at the Tennessee Titans on Monday night, then at home against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
