JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) -- Former Indianapolis Colts first-round pick Bjoern Werner has been released by the Jacksonville Jaguars.
The Jaguars waived Werner, a defensive end/linebacker on Tuesday.
The 24th overall selection in the 2013 draft by the Colts, Werner signed with Jacksonville in May. He had one sack in three preseason games with the Jaguars.
Werner spent three seasons with Indianapolis, recording just 6.5 sacks. He started one game his rookie year, but 15 games in 2014.
