Bird played college basketball at Indiana State University, leading the team to the NCAA Championship.
He played in the NBA with the Boston Celtics. Now Bird is back in Indiana, as the president of basketball operations.
To many Hoosiers, Bird exemplifies Indiana basketball. It's no wonder why they continue to buy his jersey more than 20 years after his NBA retirement.
