INDIANAPOLIS -- Storms rolled through Indianapolis late Monday night into Tuesday morning, and left many city streets flooded.

The flooding has gone down, but there were inches -- and in some cases, feet -- of standing water in some streets from Indianapolis' east side to the south side of downtown.

Around 1:30 a.m., one car was stuck under an overpass near the intersection of Sherman Drive and Ewing Street. There was multiple feet of water up to the car's windows.

Rescue crews were also dispatched to the intersection of Kentucky and Belmont avenues. They pulled cars out of high water.

The water has receded, so it isn't an issue in the city streets for Tuesday morning.
