Thousands are still without power in central Indiana. At one point Thursday morning, there were more than 30,000 people without power.
As of 6:00 p.m. Thursday, Duke Energy said 9,800 customers were still without power. The utility estimated 90 percent of those outages would be restored by 11:45 p.m. Thursday. The majority of the remaining outages were expected to be restored by 6:00 p.m. Friday.
IPL was also reporting around 1,400 customers still without power Thursday evening.
