INDIANAPOLIS – Three people were shot and killed Wednesday morning in about three hours in separate incidents across Indianapolis.
The first shooting happened just after 6 a.m., as police responded to the intersection of 42nd Street and Moller Road on the city’s west side. There was a separate run for shots fired in the area at 9 p.m. Tuesday, but officers didn’t find anything.
The victim has been identified as Dailon Harris.

A few minutes later, officers responded to the 450 block of Powell Street. They found a person shot and killed. Police say a homeowner shot and killed a man as he allegedly tried to break into a house.
The man has been identified as Shawn Parrott, age 26.

The third homicide happened a couple of hours later, near the intersection of 25th Street and Emerson Avenue.
That victim has been identified as 24-year-old John Shockley.
Police have not released any further details about what happened. There have now been more than 140 homicides in Indianapolis in 2020.
