INDIANAPOLIS -- An officer with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department was injured in a crash Tuesday morning on Indianapolis' north side.
The crash happened at the intersection of 79th Street and Ditch Road, around 7 a.m.
IMPD says the officer was behind a fire truck, with lights and sirens on, when the patrol car collided with an SUV.
The injuries to the officer and the woman driving the SUV were not life-threatening.
