DPW crews treating roads as Indy prepares for wintry mix

INDIANAPOLIS — The Indianapolis Department of Public Works began treating roadways Saturday night with winter weather in the forecast through Monday.

Drivers will have 80 trucks pre-treating roadways and potential slick sports throughout the weekend and will remain activated through Tuesday morning, according to a press release from Indy DPW.

Indy DPW is urging people to drive with caution, especially on areas known to get slippery like bride overpasses, and keep at least three car lengths between your car and plow trucks.
