A passenger in his vehicle was transported to an area hospital with serious injuries however she is in stable condition. A passenger in a box truck was also injured and transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
According to preliminary information, investigators determined traffic stopped for unknown reasons and the box truck driver did not stop. The box truck hit the Acura at "highway speeds" and caused the chain reaction crash.
Troopers say the box truck driver was tested for impairment but neither alcohol nor drugs are suspected to be a factor in the crash.
