LAWRENCE — A missing 15-year-old from Lawrence has been found by federal authorities in New Jersey, according to the Lawrence Police Department.
Police asked for the public's help in finding teen girl who might have been with an adult she met online.
The girl's family initially believed she may have been with a friend, but police say an investigation indicated she instead might have be with an unknown adult who came from out-of-state to pick her up, according to the Lawrence Police Department.
She was reported missing by her family May 3.
Information released on May 10 by authorities indicated may be in Pennsylvania or New Jersey.
Lawrence police are working with federal authorities in this investigation. No charges have been filed at this time.
