CARMEL — A November shooting in Carmel has now been officially ruled a murder/suicide by the Hamilton County Coroner.
Investigators say John Shaw, 79, fatally shot his wife Susan Shaw, 63, before shooting himself on Nov. 12 according to the Carmel Police Department.
Officers found Susan Shaw dead when they responded to the 700 block of Johnson Drive around 8:30 a.m. for a welfare check. This is just off East 136th Street/East Smokey Row Road.
John Shaw was initially taken to the hospital but later died from his injuries, police told WRTV.
Susan's death was ruled a homicide while John's death was ruled a suicide.
Police do not think there is any existing threat to the public.
