GREENWOOD — Greenwood High School was on an e-learning day Tuesday after fire extinguishers were set off in the hallway sometime overnight.
In a message to families, the district called it "an unfortunate act of vandalism."
Police at the scene described it as a HAZMAT situation when WRTV arrived Tuesday morning. The school was deep cleaned and plans to reopen Wednesday.
All other schools in the Greenwood Community School Corporation are operating as normal.
Police are working with the district to figure out who is responsible.
No suspect information has been released by police.
